Your chance to bid on a no-reserve house auction for charity
The 2023 Good Friday Appeal (GFA) Home by Henley and Villawood will be sold in a no-reserve auction this Easter, with all proceeds going to The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Good Friday Appeal.
The RCH GFA Home Auction is one of Victoria’s most loved auction events and one of the biggest contributors to the appeal. Each year, it attracts a massive crowd for a celebratory street party accompanying the auction. As a popular Good Friday fixture, the auction has raised more than $18 million over 30 years.
Villawood Properties executive director Rory Costelloe said the 2023 GFA House Auction would highlight the international standard care of The Royal Children’s Hospital with a top-line home built by an army of generous and driven community carers.
“As families, and as parents, we’re concerned for our kids at the best of times. When they’re sick, The Royal Children’s really comes into its own and plays such an important role,” he said. “And once again, the same as every year, our Villawood team is inspired by the big-hearted kindness and generosity of all Henley’s volunteer trades and suppliers. We’re hoping all of Victoria will similarly get behind the Good Friday Appeal.”
More than 100 tradies and suppliers have donated their labour and resources in helping to construct the stunning Electra 35 by Henley Homes, a 7-star solar, all electric design, on a 512sqm lot on Coridale Boulevard at Villawood Properties’ Coridale community.
The family home has been appointed with luxury fittings and fixtures and finished with professional landscaping, Rinnai fully electric ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling system and window coverings – everything a buyer needs to move straight in. The auction price will include all the furniture and decorative pieces inside the home.
REIV Senior Auctioneer of the Year Luke Banitsiotis will take the reins of this year’s Charity Home Auction.
Antony Blackshaw, CEO of Henley Properties, said the 2023 GFA home auction goes from strength to strength, and the entire Henley team is looking forward to another successful sale.
“It takes a great team and tight-knit community to build a home for The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, and we at Henley, have that in spades. Every member of the Henley team including volunteer trades and suppliers go out of their way, year after year to support and drive this great initiative. The commitment is unwavering, and we look forward to another successful build and auction.”
