The Best Interior Design Trends for 2023

Though I love putting together these “interior design trends” posts each year, I always like to preface my post with the caveat that I kind of hate trends. Ha. I know. That feels counterintuitive. But I believe – more and more so with each passing year – that one’s home really should be a reflection of each individual person. If you love it, please go for it. And if you can’t stand it, that’s perfectly okay, too. In the grand scheme of things who am I, really, to tell you what works for you?
I could make this post one million years longer as there is so much that’s inspiring me lately. Just so many things that I’m seeing in abundance that I’m dying to draw inspiration from myself. But when designing for myself and my own clients, I prefer to stick to the classics so things won’t feel dated in a moment’s notice. Following are a few interior design trends for 2023 that I’m personally loving. The best part is that each one is rooted in timeless elements. Though the following design trends are undoubtedly hot these days, if used carefully and intentionally (and maybe not all at once), I don’t believe that any of them are going to feel dated anytime soon.
PS: Check out my interior design trends post for 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 & 2016. While all of them were most definitely in the spotlight that year, I still subscribe to just about all of them
